We are here to support you every step of the way. As a valued Newham foster carer, you’ll receive:

A foster carer could be any of us - could it be you?

Foster carers come from all walks of life

There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ foster carer.

We are looking for individuals or couples who will care for a foster child as they would care for a child of their own.

That means you will take them to school, cook them their favourite food, care for them when they are unwell and take them on holiday with you.

You will need to have a spare room (unless you are caring for babies up to the age of three years then they can sleep in your room as long as there is room for a cot bed).

We are particularly looking for people who can care for teenagers, sibling groups or children with special needs. It also helps to have a good sense of humour!
