We are dedicated to providing the best local support possible for our foster carers.
Fostering is very rewarding but can also be quite challenging at times, which is why help is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year
How we support our foster carers
We provide the following:
- Dedicated supporting social worker
- Out-of-hours helpline
- Local face-to-face and online support groups
- Buddy foster carer to mentor you
- Regular social activities and events

Training
Before you are approved as a foster carer, you will need to undergo some training locally to develop the skills you need to look after children and young people.
We encourage our approved foster carers to take as much training as they can. We offer a wide variety of courses covering a huge range of topics, from first aid to internet safety.
